Some figures released at Wednesday's hearing about the proposed Bedford Downs racetrack and complex and its impact on the region:
Tax revenues to be shared by Lawrence County and Mahoning Township through gaming is an estimated $10 million.
Estimated payroll and real estate taxes will be $4 million per year.
6.5 million people live within a 75-mile radius.
The first phase will be completed in 12 months.
700 immediate jobs generated and 5,000 jobs when the entire project is completed.
The site has 550 acres.
The building will be 200,000 square feet.
The grandstand and gaming center will accommodate 10,000 spectators.
There will be 17 barns housing as many as 1,000 horses.
The annual net benefit to Pennsylvania will be $134.3 million.
The Pennsylvania War Veterans Council will get 1 percent of the net profits or about $500,000 per year.
