Local 377 officers planto return for another term
YOUNGSTOWN -- The current officers of Teamsters Local 377 will serve another three-year term starting Jan. 1 because no one filed to run against them.
The officers are: Bob Bernat, secretary treasurer; Chris Colello, president; Larry Spencer, vice president; Ken Norris, recording secretary; trustees Greg Shadle, Doug Broderick, and Gail Trina; and business agents Ray DePasqual and Jim Wood.
Bernat said his goal remains to organize workers and grow membership. The local has 4,200 members, up 1,000 members over his two terms. Membership has dropped since the 1970s because of the loss of steel hauling companies in the area, he said. Local 377 had about 5,000 members then.
