Meal-delivery drivers
WARREN -- Trumbull Mobile Meals is in need of volunteer drivers to deliver meals to shut-ins.
Drivers are needed on most routes in Trumbull County, but the routes in Niles, Girard, Liberty and McDonald have waiting lists for individuals who need home-delivered meals.
It usually takes an hour or less from the pickup of meals to the last drop-off.
Volunteers use their own vehicles and gasoline. Food pickups take place at St. Joseph Health Center on Eastland Avenue.
Bags are usually dropped off at a location in the delivery area. Other routes are picked up at various locations in Warren and around the county to make for easier delivery. The miles driven can be used as a tax write-off.
To volunteer, call the Mobile Meals office at (330) 394-2538.
