Kickoff events
United Way of Trumbull County kicks off its 2004 fund-raising campaign today with Rally by the River, a free event open to the public. Entertainment for the evening features:
5:15-6 p.m.: Black Tie Optional, "Jazz standards from the 1020s through the 1950s."
6:20-7 p.m.: Guys Without Ties, "Horn to drenched Rock and Soul."
7-7:15 p.m.: James Dance and Performing Arts Center, competition team.
7:15-8:15 p.m.: Guys Without Ties.
Throughout the evening, there will be costumed characters and activities and games for children of all ages. Also, food will be sold by downtown Warren restaurants, including the Hippodrome, Little Johnny's and North Perk Cafe.
