HOW WE SEE THEM Vindicator football rankings

BIG SCHOOLS
(Div. I-III)
1. Warren Harding (2-0), vs. Akron Buchtel. Mario Manningham's interception return for a touchdown rescued the Raiders against Cleveland Glenville.
2. Austintown Fitch (2-0), at Reynoldsburg. The Falcons' line play was pivotal in defeating Erie Cathedral Prep.
3. Cardinal Mooney (2-0), vs. East Cleveland Shaw. The Cardinals' rushing attack was in high gear with 340 yards against Aquinas.
4. Howland (2-0), at Lakeview. After two comfortable victories, the Tigers face their first test this week.
5. Beaver Local (2-0), vs. Campbell. The Beavers used an all-around attack against Carrollton and now face a Campbell team looking for its first win.
6. Canfield (2-0), at Alliance. The Cardinals opened some eyes at Canton South and now prepare for their Metro Athletic Conference opener.
7. Ursuline (1-1), at Poland. The Irish must rebound quickly after a disappointing performance against Steubenville. Their trip to Poland offers an enticing match-up.
8. Lakeview (2-0), vs. Howland. The Bulldogs held off a late charge from Conneaut to climb two spots.
9. Salem (2-0), vs. West Branch. The Quakers make their first appearance in the poll after beating up on United. They now renew their rivalry with West Branch at Reilly Stadium.
10. Hubbard (1-0), at Struthers. The Eagles also make their first appearance in the poll after a season-opening victory over Cleveland East last week.
SMALL SCHOOLS
(Div. IV-VI)
1. Warren John F. Kennedy (2-0), at Girard. This time, the Eagles handled Struthers with relative ease following last year's defeat. Their first road trip of the season looms large in Arrowhead Stadium.
2. Liberty (2-0), vs. Chagrin Falls. It's tough to find flaws in a 48-14 rout of Wilson, but the Leopards will need to improve their run defense after surrendering 230 yards.
3. South Range (2-0), vs. Champion. The Raiders are coming off a test from Crestview, scoring the decisive touchdown with two minutes to play.
4. Mineral Ridge (2-0), at United. Running back Levi Leigh flourishes one week; Micah Hall the next. Who's turn is it to step up for the Rams?
5. Springfield (2-0), vs. East Palestine. The Tigers punished Brookfield with a balanced attack.
6. Girard (2-0), vs. Warren John F. Kennedy. Brett Dutton scored five touchdowns against Campbell. The Indians could certainly use his dramatics again this week against this poll's top-ranked team.
7. Crestview (1-1), vs. LaBrae. The Rebels look to bounce back against a hot LaBrae team.
8. Lisbon (1-0), at Wellsville. The Blue Devils make their first appearance in the poll after dismantling Pittsburgh Allderdice.
9. Columbiana (1-1), vs. Pymatuning Valley. Drew Wagner is coming off a 214-yard performance on the ground.
10. Struthers (0-2), vs. Hubbard. The Wildcats' schedule doesn't get easier this week.
XCardinal Mooney and Ursuline are grouped in the big school division because of their prominent schedules.
