XST. CLAIRSVILLE -- Kevin J. Ference and his bride, the former Paulette C. Zavacky, both of 2130 Pauline Blvd., Ann Arbor, Mich., honeymooned in Kaui, Hawaii, after their Aug. 7 wedding at St. Mary Church.
The Rev. Thomas Chillog solemnized the marriage during a 1:30 p.m. ceremony, and a reception was held afterward at Glessner Auditorium in Oglebay Park, Wheeling, W.Va.
The bride is a daughter of Paul and Paula Zavacky, 48656 Walnut St., and parents of the groom are James and Linda Ference, 3533 Ashland St., Mineral Ridge.
The bride wore a strapless ballgown of white silk satin and a cathedral-length veil.
Stephanie Mack, the honor attendant, wore a lilac gown, as did the bridesmaids, Chris Ann Schwanenberger, a cousin of the bride; Gia Kauffman; Jennifer Gerevics; Elizabeth Flaherty; and Heather Ference, the groom's sister. Flower girls were the groom's cousins, Alexandria and Samantha Zimmerman.
Serving as best man was Michael Nappier, and groomsmen were Michael Zbiegien, Mark Novak, Ethan Seidel, Jason Marshall and the groom's cousin, Matthew Norris. Ring bearer was Henry Zimmerman, his cousin.
The bride graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in molecular genetics. She is a graduate student in the Ph.D biomedical sciences program at the University of Michigan.
The groom earned a bachelor's degree in English at Case Western Reserve University and received his juris doctorate from the University of Cleveland.
