ASSOCIATIONS
XAlliance Area Retired Teachers Association will hold a luncheon and meeting at noon Sept. 17 at Alliance Senior Citizens Center, 602 W. Vine St., Alliance. "From Dogsledding to Quilting" will be the theme of a talk by Mary Bernower. XTrumbull-Mahoning Ohio Association of Occupational Health Nurses will meet Sept. 14 at Avalon Inn and Resort, Howland. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m., and the program will begin at 7 with Sister Susan Zion, affiliated with Ursuline Sisters, speaking on "HIV/AIDS Awareness and the Ryan White Program." AUXILIARIES
XDistrict 8 VFW Auxiliary will meet Sept. 12 at Copley VFW Post 7971. Sandra Graves will preside. Breakfast is planned for 7:30 a.m. with registration from then until noon. The meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and there will be a parade of transmittals.
CLUBS
XYoungstown State University Women's Club will hold its annual fall tea from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 12 at the McDonough Museum of Art on Wick Avenue. Reservations must be made by Wednesday.
LIBRARY FRIENDS
XFriends of Boardman Library will hold a monthly program and business meeting at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 13 in the community room at the library. Dr. William Jenkins, professor of history at Youngstown State University, will speak on "Ku Klux Klan in Youngstown." Reservations are not necessary; guests are welcome. The group is conducting its annual membership drive for people interested in assisting with and maintaining various library programs. POLITICAL CLUBS
XWestern Reserve Republican Women will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Denny's restaurant, Boardman-Canfield Road, with Hazel Bieber presiding. Dorthy Barto will present information on the new Alzheimer's Assistance and Referral Network and a talk on "Can We Prevent Alzheimer's Disease?"
RELIGIOUS GROUPS
XMembers of Seton will meet at 10 a.m. Sept. 19 for Mass by Monsignor William Connell at Ursuline Mother House, 4280 Shields Road, followed by a luncheon. Reservations are to be made by Wednesday. Hostesses will be Peg Cerinele, Peg Burtin, Edna Zaitzen, Virginia Reedy, Betty Hasler, Shirley Zandetis and Sister Isabelle Rudge.

XYoungstown Downtown Kiwanis will meet at noon Friday at the YMCA. The speaker will be Harry Wilson, retired member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

XA meeting and Memory Walk Family Night are planned at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 20 by the Greater East Ohio Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association at its office, 3695 Boardman-Canfield Road, Suite 301 B, Canfield.
