LIBERTY
Aug. 24
Arrest: Police arrested a 36-year-old Warren man at Mahoning County jail after it was discovered he was wanted on a felony warrant accusing him of forgery.
Aug. 25
Criminal damaging: A man in the 1700 block of Naylor-Lloyd Road noticed his vehicle's rear window had been broken. Damage came to about $250.
Criminal damaging: A Youngstown man reported someone used a key to damage his car's finish while it was parked at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex, 1620 Motor Inn Drive. Damage was estimated at $275.
Aug. 26
Assault/theft: A man in the 3100 block of Hadley Avenue told police that a Youngstown woman, 47, stole a bottle of wine from him and that, when the man confronted her, she struck him with her vehicle, causing him to fall. The victim was not injured.
Theft: A woman in the 4200 block of Logan Gate Road reported that her vehicle was broken into and that her wallet, Ohio driver's license and two credit cards had been stolen.
Theft: A Niles woman reported someone may have taken her debit card and used it without permission to make $120 worth of purchases in the township.
Arrests: After responding to a report of someone trying to pass a $362.67 bad check at Liberty Mini Mart, 3007 Belmont Ave., police arrested two men, 24 and 44, and a woman, 38, all from Youngstown. The woman was charged with passing bad checks and forgery; charges against the men included possession of drugs (crack cocaine), forgery, possession of drug paraphernalia, passing bad checks and driving under suspension. Officers say they found a small bag of suspected crack cocaine in the car, some small rocks of suspected crack cocaine under the driver's seat and a suspected crack pipe in the possession of one of the men.

Theft: Police arrested a Youngstown man, 27, at the Mahoning County Jail on a misdemeanor warrant from Liberty charging him with theft.
Arrest: After an employee at Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave., became suspicious about a prescription sheet and called police, officers arrested a 24-year-old Youngstown woman on one felony count of deception to obtain a dangerous drug. The suspect was accused of passing a bogus prescription sheet to obtain 60 OxyContin tablets.
Robbery: A North Kingsville, Ohio, woman reported that, as she sat in her vehicle parked at Giant Eagle, a man approached her with a knife and demanded her purse and keys. The man took her purse before fleeing in a green van.
Theft: An employee at a Speedway gas station, 4210 Belmont Ave., reported a man in his mid- to late 20s grabbed several beef snacks and fled.
Aug. 28
Recovered property: After running a registration check on a 1988 Oldsmobile Delta 88 parked at the Liberty Plaza, 3551 Belmont Ave., police determined the car had been stolen from a Canton man.

Aug. 29
Theft: Two women in the 300 block of Forsythe Avenue reported four pairs of jeans and some T-shirts stolen from a dryer while they were at The Laundry Basket, 41 W. Broadway Ave.
HUBBARD
Aug. 25
Recovered property: After a woman in the 1000 block of Doris Drive reported some items belonging to the home's previous owner had been stolen from the garage, police ran a registration check on the suspect's vehicle parked in her driveway and found it had been stolen in Youngstown. No year or make were listed in the report.
Theft: A Hubbard woman reported her bicycle stolen while she was at Pizza Works, 433 N. Main St.
Criminal mischief: A man discovered his residence in the 300 block of Scott Street had been struck by two paintballs, causing minor dents.
Aug. 27
Arrest: A Hubbard man surrendered to police and was arrested on a warrant charging him with aggravated trespassing and assault.
Arrest: After surrendering to police, another Hubbard man, no age given, was arrested on a warrant charging him with aggravated trespassing.
Aug. 28
Criminal mischief: A man reported that after he returned to his residence in the 50 block of Mackey Street, he discovered someone had tossed eggs at his car and had spray-painted his truck.
Aug. 30
Theft: An employee at Seven Seventeen Credit Union, 627 W. Liberty St., reported two incidents of theft.
Arrest: After pulling over a vehicle near Auto Zone, 420 N. Main St., police arrested a Hubbard man. He was wanted on a warrant from Mahoning County charging him with failure to appear in court on various traffic charges.
