Church to move
WARREN -- Agape Assembly Church, formerly at 1230 Palmyra Road (Old West Junior High), will celebrate the dedication of its new building at 426 Nevada Ave. S.W. (Westlawn), at noon Nov. 6. There will be a processional from the old to the new locations beginning at 11:30 a.m. A brief ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place after the processional. Open house will be from 12:30-2 p.m. Refreshments will be provided. The public is welcome.
Center dedication
AUSTINTOWN -- Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4490 Norquest, will dedicate its $1.5 million Monsignor Andrew Prokop Parish Center at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Bishop Thomas J. Tobin of the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown will attend. Ground was broken on the project in March. Monsignor Prokop was appointed by Bishop Emmet Walsh in 1953 to organize Immaculate Heart as a new parish and become its first pastor. He served as pastor until 1977. Monsignor Prokop died in 1995 at the age 87.
Rosary Cenacle planned
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Shrine of Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted, 517 S. Belle Vista Ave., and the Queen of the Holy Rosary Prayer Group, will have a Rosary Cenacle at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Devotions will consist of the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet recited during the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Refreshments will follow.
Priest to be honored
McDONALD -- Members of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church will honor the Rev. Daniel Kulesa on Sunday, which is designated as Priesthood Sunday by the National Federation of Priests' Councils. He will be honored as a reception in the church hall after the 10:15 a.m. Mass. Everyone is welcome to attend, and refreshments will be served. Born in Masury, and a 1962 graduate of St. Mary's Seminary, Father Kulesa has served as a priest for 42 years. He was assigned to Our Lady of Perpetual Help in 1995, transferring from Canal Fulton. Father Kulesa initiated several new programs including Children's Liturgy, Eucharistic Adoration, an annual polka Mass and Blessing of the Pets.
SPEAKERS
Vietnam trip
SALEM -- Phil and Vera Kinsey will share reflections from their recent trip to Vietnam at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Salem Community Center, North Ellsworth Road. They are part of West Point Man International Ministries as State and Asia Coordinators. They have a mission outreach in Washingtonville where they minister to veterans and their families as well as to those in need.

CARROLLTON -- First United Methodist Church, 253 S. Lisbon St., will feature Karolyn Grimes speaking at services at 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. Nov. 7. She will introduce a special screening of the film "It's A Wonderful Life" at 6 p.m. that day. Grimes, who played the little girl Zuzu in the film, is known for her line, "Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings." She is able to use the film's message of hope in her appearances. She has worked with Habitat for Humanity, cancer research, Hospice, geriatric centers and caregiver organizations. Karolyn will share her personal testimony in the morning services. She will share her experiences working on the film and will join the audience for a special screening. The meetings are free. An offering will be taken.
Judge is guest speaker
YOUNGSTOWN -- Judge Theresa Dellick of the Mahoning County Juvenile Court will be the guest speaker at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at First Unitarian Church, at the corner of Elm and Illinois just north of YSU. Judge Dellick will talk about the court, its function and the programs available for juveniles. The program is free and open to the public.

Pastor appreciation
WARREN -- Friendship Baptist Church, 1954 Brier St., will celebrate the first anniversary of the Rev. Dr. Leon Thompson, and the first appreciation of him and first lady Terah Thompson, at 4 p.m. Sunday. The keynote speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Larry W. Howard of the Historic Greater Friendship Baptist Church of Cleveland, accompanied by his choirs and congregation.
WORKSHOPS
Annual musical
FARRELL -- New and Living Way Resurrection Choir will host the 23rd annual musical "Come, Let's Set the Atmosphere!" today and Sunday at 927 Lee Ave. There will be music workshop seminars from 10 a.m. to noon today, a catered luncheon at which an offering will be taken, workshop choir rehearsal at 1:30 p.m. and the musical at 7:30 p.m., with special guests the mime team of Cleveland, A & amp;J Mime team and Sister Patty, both of Ravenna, Thiel College Selah Mime team and Mount Olive Baptist Praise team from Grove City. The musical will continue at 4 p.m. Sunday with special guests United Faith Fellowship Choir of Meadville, Slippery Rock College Choir and the Selah Mime team.
ENTERTAINMENT
Christian music concert
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Westminster College Campus Ministry Programs will sponsor a Christian music concert at 8 p.m. Friday, in Wallace Memorial Chapel. Brother Frank began his musical career at age 6 with piano lessons, and as he grew added guitar, hammered dulcimer and other instruments. His ministry of music combined with Screen Door Ministries uses the arts to reach the inner city and at-risk populations. Opening acts for this concert include Dan Getkin, an Allegheny College student, singer and songwriter, and Shaded Gray, a group of 25 Geneva College student instrumentalists. The event is free and open to the public. Donations will be taken for the New Castle City Rescue Mission. For information, contact the Rev.
