Recruiting volunteers

Recruiting volunteers
COLUMBUS -- AARP Ohio is working with the office of the State Long-term Care Ombudsman at the Ohio Department of Aging and the District XI Area Agency on Aging Inc. to recruit volunteer advocates for nursing homes in Mahoning County.
Ombudsman volunteers visit nursing home residents to explain their rights and handle individual complaints about care and services. They help improve residents' quality of life by working with families, staff and administration when concerns about care arise.
For more information contact OHvolunteers@aarp.org or call Tamara Jones at (866) 389-5653.

Camp Fire USA Northeast Ohio Council is seeking volunteer facilitators and sites to host Community Family Clubs. The Community Family Club program is designed to strengthen families and enrich youth by participating in activities that earn awards and give service to the community.
