Namies are honored for golden jubilee

XBERLIN CENTER -- Mr. and Mrs. William Namie of 7759 Duck Creek Road celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 16 at a party at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Carrie Namie of Randolph.
Also hosting the event were the couple's other sons and their spouses, David and Katrina Namie of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; William Namie of LaVergne, Tenn.; John Namie of Chicago; and Rick and Amy Namie of Mentor; and a family friend, Jeff Flink of Chicago. The couple's daughter, Kathy Namie, is deceased.
Mr. Namie and the former Carol Davis were married Oct. 16, 1954, at Trinity Church in Youngstown. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired in 1993 from Sharon Steel Co.
His wife, who retired in 1994, had been employed at People's Bank, Cold Metal Products and Serex.
The couple are members of Berlin Center United Methodist Church. Four grandchildren complete their family.
