"Excel Basics." Introduction to the spreadsheet component of Microsoft Office. "Internet Mini-Series Part 1." This class introduces the Internet and World Wide Web at Boardman, 1 to 2:30 p.m. or 6 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 30. Must have taken a basic computer class or be proficient with the mouse.
"Lunch & amp; Learn at the Library: World War II Japanese War Crime Trials." Local attorney John Newman will share his experiences when, as a young lawyer, he took part in the trials held in Osaka, Japan, in 1945-46. Most of those tried there were guards in the notorious prisoner of war camps and detention camps during World War II. Come and learn about that less well-known part of our history, at Main, noon to 1 p.m. Nov. 9. Take a brown bag lunch; coffee will be provided.

"A Million Chameleons." Author and illustrator Jeanne Ann Macejko will appear at the Poland Library Friends' Bookstore, 11 a.m. Nov. 13, to autograph and talk about her new youth book. She is also bringing a temporary tattoo of a chameleon for each child.
