XAUSTINTOWN -- Charise Russell of Memphis, Tenn., and Loren Rhodes of Youngstown exchanged marriage vows before Atty. Lowell Williams during a ceremony at 2 p.m. Oct. 16 at Emmanuel Community Church.
A reception at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex in Liberty honored the daughter of Charles and Gillie Russell, 1960 Guadalupe Ave., Youngstown, and the son of the late Lucille and Lenton Rhodes.
Since returning from a honeymoon to Las Vegas, the couple live in Memphis.
Mrs. Rhodes graduated from Tennessee State University, Nashville, with a degree in occupational therapy. She is employed as an insurance adjuster with Direct Insurance, Memphis.
Mr. Rhodes attended Pennsylvania Culinary Institute, Pittsburgh. He was employed as a cook at Cracker Barrell Restaurant, Youngstown.
The bride wore a strapless, form-fitting gown of white lace.
Honor attendants were Pamela Belle, the bride's sister, and Jione Johnson, and bridesmaids were Kimberly Porch, her cousin, and Kelly Tucker. They wore red dresses. The groom's goddaughter, Taylor Foster, was flower girl.
Darrell Foster served as best man. Groomsmen were Charles Russell Jr., the bride's brother, and Charles Purdue and Jauan Showers, and ring bearer was Darrell Foster Jr., the groom's godson. Ushers were Terry Miller and Shaeed Abdul.
Also participating were Hyland Burton VI and Ideltra Beacham.
