Mount Union 24, Baldwin-Wallace 7
BEREA -- Rick Ciccone rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns to lead Mount Union. Ciccone carried 32 times with touchdown runs of 4 and 6 yards. Jeff Strauch added 108 yards rushing on 27 carries for the Purple Raiders (8-0, 7-0 Ohio Conference). Brandon Hedges led the Yellow Jackets (6-2, 5-2) with 111 yards rushing on 21 carries, including a 58-yard touchdown run that pulled Baldwin-Wallace to 14-7 early in the third quarter. George Wilders kicked a 26-yard field goal and Wade Kirk returned an interception 61 yards for a touchdown to help the Purple Raiders pull away. Mount Union ran for 314 yards on 67 carries while attempting only 12 passes. Zac Bruney went 5-of-11 for 58 yards, while Baldwin-Wallace's Mike DiAngelo finished 3-of-15 for 23 yards with two interceptions. The Purple Raiders won their 102nd consecutive regular season game and 92nd straight in the OAC.
Westminster, Pa. 25, Frostburg St. 13
FROSTBURG, Md. -- Scott Froelich ran for 181 yards and scored four touchdowns to lead Westminster. Froelich ran for two touchdowns for Westminster (4-4), threw a touchdown pass to Joe Getsy and caught a scoring pass from Getsy. Mike Kitchen ran 30 times for 133 yards in his third consecutive 100-yard rushing performance for Frostburg State (2-6). Jimmy Ward passed for 139 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Adam Snyder caught three passes for 50 yards and two scores.
Allegheny 16, Wabash 10
CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. -- Mario Tarquinio scored on a 1-yard run in overtime, leading Allegheny to a come-from-behind win. Allegheny (4-4) came back from a 10-3 deficit with just under a minute and a half to play in regulation. Jimmy Savage, who completed 12-of-16 passes for 103 yards, led the Gators on a six-play, 43-yard drive, culminating with his 12-yard touchdown pass to Marko Fonzi. The two teams managed just a field goal apiece through the first three quarters -- a 22-yarder in the first by Wabash's Mark Server and a 30-yard attempt by Allegheny's Bryan Davis in the third. Wabash (5-3) regained the lead midway through the fourth on a 42-yard fumble recovery by Tamarco White. Russ Harbaugh threw for only 67 yards on 11-of-13 passing for the Little Giants.
Geneva 14, Taylor 13
BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- Tony Clackler caught a 29-yard touchdown pass from Ken Fredrick with 4:25 to go. Fredrick completed 4-of-9 passes for 39 yards and got a 1-yard touchdown run from Ricky Shultz -- a receiver forced to play quarterback who carried seven times for minus-4 yards -- for Geneva (4-4, 3-2 Mid-States Football Association), which managed just 148 yards of total offense for the game. Shultz's touchdown came as the result of a botched punt by Taylor.
Thiel 32, Ohio Dominican 6
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Darrell Satterfield threw two touchdown passes to Brandon Chambers and Brett Helman ran for two more scores. Thiel (7-2) held Ohio Dominican (0-8) to just 66 yards rushing and had a nearly 2-to-1 advantage in time of possession in a game that was never close. Thiel led 12-0 after the first quarter on Helman's 5-yard run and a 15-yard Satterfield-to-Chambers scoring pass. Ohio Dominican's Paul Andrix hit field goals of 27 and 24 yards in the second quarter, but Chambers also scored his second touchdown, of 12 yards, from Satterfield for a 19-6 Thiel lead at the half. Helman scored on a 10-yard run and Justin Kuban scored from a 1 yard for Thiel in the fourth. Helman finished with 77 yards on 21 carries, but Stephen Minton was the workhorse for Thiel, gaining 114 yards on 27 carries. Satterfield finished with 260 yards on a 21-for-32 days, with one interception.
Wooster 59, Hiram 0
HIRAM -- Tony Sutton rushed 26 times for 239 yards and three touchdowns, giving the Fighting Scots sole possession of first place in the North Coast Conference. Sutton scored on runs of 5, 18 and 1 yard, and the Scots (8-0, 5-0) outgained the Terriers (0-8, 0-5) 421 yards to 7 on the ground. Wooster rolled up 656 yards of total offense while holding Hiram to 165. Justin Schafer completed 11-of-18 passes for 176 yards with one interception and touchdown passes of 9 and 11 yards to Richie McNally. McNally caught six passes for 110 yards for Wooster. Hiram's Max Kravitz was 13-of-29 for 150 yards with two interceptions.
Shippensburg 35, Slippery Rock 17
SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- Walter Crump rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on just eight carries and John Kuhn rushed for 156 yards and a score to lead Shippensburg. After Andre McLaurin's 1-yard plunge gave the Red Raiders an early 7-0 lead, Crump scored on runs of 29 and 33 yards and Tony Gomez threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to Joel Gamble as Shippensburg (9-1, 5-1 PSAC West) opened up a 28-0 halftime lead. Slippery Rock (3-7, 1-4) got a pair of touchdown passes in the third quarter -- 11 yards to Luke Wetzel from Nate Crookshank and 8 yards to Corey Manfull from A.J. Ruperto -- and a 33-yard field goal from Ryan Daniel in the fourth, but Kuhn scored on a 1-yard run with 9:57 to go to cap the scoring.
Alfred 16, Grove City 0
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Chris Reynolds kicked three field goals and Ron Duliba threw a touchdown pass for Alfred. Alfred (7-1) opened the scoring with a 37-yard field goal by Reynolds with 6:18 left in the first quarter. The Saxons made it 9-0 at the half with field goals of 28 and 34 yards by Reynolds in the last minute of the first half. Grove City (3-6) turned the ball over six times and had only 110 yards in total offense. The Wolverines had only 38 yards on 30 rushing attempts. Alfred capped the scoring with a 12-yard touchdown pass from Ron Duliba to Matt Gibbons. Duliba completed 13 of 33 passes for 118 yards.
Chicago 31, Bethany 7
CHICAGO, Ill. -- Chicago running back Frank Brown ran for 157 yards and three touchdowns. The Maroons (2-5) held the Bison (0-8) to just 50 yards rushing in the victory. Bethany tied the score at 7 on a Nazih Banna to T.J. Parker 29-yard pass with 9:17 remaining in the first half. Chicago took the lead for good on Mike Morzenti's 32-yard field-goal with 5:43 to go in the half. Banna completed 15-of-32 passes for 172 yards, along with a touchdown and an interception.
Tiffin 17, Walsh 9
TIFFIN -- Garrion Corbin carried 26 times for 225 yards, including a 72-yard touchdown run, to lead Tiffin. Patrick Manders added a 15-yard touchdown run that gave the Dragons (5-5) a 14-9 lead with 12:26 remaining. Manders ran for 51 yards on four carries and completed 4-of-8 passes for 68 yards with an interception. The Cavaliers (7-2) ran for only 83 yards on 33 carries and didn't get much from the passing game. Dan Kane was 8-of-26 for 153 yards with no touchdowns and four interceptions. Corbin's touchdown gave Tiffin a 7-0 lead. Walsh closed to 7-6 on Robert Lash's 1-yard touchdown run with three seconds left in the first half and went ahead 9-7 on Tim Church's 23-yard field goal in the third quarter. After Manders' TD run put Tiffin ahead, Ben Sandrock kicked an 18-yard field goal with 2:57 remaining to give the Dragons an eight-point lead.
St. Francis, Ind. 40, Malone 6
FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Adam Denning rushed for 120 yards and three touchdowns and Cory Jacquay added 88 yards and two TDs, powering St. Francis (8-0, 5-0 MSFA), WHICH led only 14-6 at halftime but put the game away in the third quarter with two TD runs by Denning and one by Jacquay. Jacquay added the only touchdown of the fourth quarter, capping the Cougars' 29th straight regular season victory. The only points for Malone (3-5, 1-4) came on a pair of 22-yard field goals by Shawn O'Halloran in the second quarter. Malone's Eric Smith rushed for 191 yards.
