Aqua Ohio will sponsor its eighth annual Lowellville Senior Citizens' Day at 1 p.m. Friday at the Holy Rosary Education Center in Lowellville. The event features a hot lunch, music and door prizes. Lowellville residents can pick up free tickets to the Senior Citizens' Day at the village hall.
Howland SCOPE will hold a fall dance from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 10. Cost is $10. A trip is planned Nov. 22-25 to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade in New York City. Cost is $450. For information call (330) 609-7806.
A driver safety program for people 55 and older will be offered at the New Castle Public Library. The courses are from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at a cost of $10. Warren SCOPE, 220 W. Market St., will present the second part of a three-part series on ideas for using up Thanksgiving leftovers from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Karen Hoover will host the event. "Stone Soup Day" will be held Thursday when homemade beef vegetable soup will be served to those taking nonperishable items or monetary donations for the pantry and emergency fund. A trip to Cleveland's grand estates is planned for Nov. 9. The bus will depart at 9:30 a.m. and return at approximately 5:30 p.m. Cost of $45 will include lunch at the Riders Inn as well as a vintage fashion show. The center will host a special driving education program from noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 16 and 17. Cost is $10, and those who complete the entire program may be eligible for discounts on their automobile insurance.
