Salem man faces murder charge

SALEM -- A Columbiana County grand jury indicted a Salem man Thursday on a charge of aggravated murder and three counts of attempted murder.
Aaron J. Catlin, 30, of South Union Avenue, was taken into custody early Sept. 30. He is accused of driving his car at two men on North Ellsworth Avenue near the Salem Plaza after a bar fight.
Frank E. Gardner, 24, of Salem was killed and Marc Finley, 21, also of Salem, was seriously injured.
County Prosecutor Robert Herron said the other two charges of attempted murder stemmed from Catlin's missing two other people, David Crom and Bambi Woodworth, who were walking with Gardner and Finley.
Others indictments were:
* Michael A. Johnson, 48, of Mapletree Street, East Liverpool, failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer.
* Erik H. Powell, age not available, of Erie Street, East Liverpool, felonious assault and domestic violence.
* Larry O. Foster, 49, of Mulberry Street, East Liverpool, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
* Shane A. Houshour, 20, of First Street, Damascus, breaking and entering.
* Tiffany G. Walls, 23, of Anderson Boulevard, East Liverpool, two counts of breaking and entering.
