Billy Lyell in main event at Byzantine card

YOUNGSTOWN -- A good turnout for a pro boxing show in May at The Byzantine Center at the Grove encouraged Jack Loew and Jim "Tank" DiCioccio to offer a second, seven-bout card Nov. 24.
Loew and DiCioccio will feature fighters from their Southside Boxing Club, including Billy Lyell of Niles, who will be in the main event against Corey Budd of Columbus in a junior middleweight eight-rounder.
Lyell (6-1, 3 knockouts) is coming off an impressive victory in Chicago, while Budd (6-4, 6 KOs) is a hard puncher.
Darnell Boone (3-0), a middleweight, will be in a four-round fight against Alex Black (2-3) of Columbus.
"Irish" Davey McBride (5-4, 2 KOs) of Salem will be in a six-round lightweight bout with Leo Martinez (2-1 2 KOs) of Columbus.
Also on the card is Vinny O'Neill, formerly of Girard who now lives in Las Vegas. O'Neill, who trained at Southside, will make his pro debut in a four round-lightweight bout against Matt Horning (1-7) of Dayton.
The Byzantine Center at the Grove is located at 3801 Shady Run Road.
Tickets are $35 for ringside seats and $20 for general admission. Outlets and the remainder of the card will be announced in early November.
