PENNSYLVANIA King Beaver Chorus plans 'Harvest' show

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- The 52nd annual "Harvest of Harmony" show by King Beaver Barbershop Chorus will be at 7:29 p.m. Nov. 6 at Blackhawk High School, 500 Blackhawk Road, near Beaver County Airport.
Among the guest performers will be Power Play from Detroit, Mich., the 2003 International Championship Barbershop Quartet.
Comprised of a father, his two sons and one nephew, Power Play is known for doing little talking and a great deal of singing.
Also performing will be Rave, a Sweet Adelines quartet from greater Pittsburgh; and Highland Middle School seventh-grade chorus, featuring 70 harmonizing pupils from the Blackhawk school district with their director, Jayne McDonald.
King Beaver Chorus will be represented by 25 to 30 singers. In a spoof of "The Phantom of the Opera," John Dunlap -- who has performed at Salem Community Theater -- will appear as the Phantom and try to disrupt the show.
Songs to be performed by King Beaver Chorus include "I'm Sitting on Top of the World," "Emaline" and "I Wonder Who's Kissing Her Now."
Tickets are $10 if purchased in advance. Send checks and self-addressed, stamped envelopes to Dick Trenary, 3076 Old Darlington Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010. Any remaining tickets will be $12 at the door.
