MERCER, Pa. -- Three armed robberies at local beer distributors have netted a Clarion man 10 to 30 years in prison.
Paul Fitzgerald, 30, was sentenced by Mercer County Common Pleas Judge Thomas Dobson to the terms Tuesday for the three felony robbery convictions. Each one carried a firearm specification requiring a mandatory five-year term. He was also ordered to make restitution.
According to court documents, Fitzgerald twice robbed Brewmeister Distributors on Pa. Route 58 in Pine Township at gunpoint, on Oct. 26, 2002, and again on June 23, 2003; on Feb. 1, 2003, he robbed A & amp;S Beer Distributors, 406 North St., Grove City.

Also on Tuesday:
UShane Lyttle, 19, of Sharon-Mercer Road, Mercer, was sentenced to nine to 18 months in prison for felony burglary and ordered to make restitution for stealing an ATM machine from a Coolspring Township grocery store in December 2003 and wrecking it.
UChristopher Giles, 24, of Erie was placed on 18 months' probation for theft by unlawful taking, a misdemeanor, for breaking into a Delaware Township home in March and taking tools, a VCR and television valued at a total $382. He was ordered to make restitution.
UJennifer King, 29, was placed on 18 months' probation and ordered to make restitution for taking $145 belonging to another woman at a Jackson Center home Nov. 15, 2003. She had pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking, a misdemeanor.
UKristin Marcella, 30, of Spruce Avenue, Sharon, was sentenced to three to 10 months in jail for retail theft, a misdemeanor. On April 20, according to court documents, he and a woman stole $311 worth of sheets and clothing from a store in Hermitage. Probation was also revoked for a 2003 misdemeanor conviction for theft by unlawful taking and Marcella was sentenced to six to 12 months on that charge.
