HOW WE SEE THEM Vindicator football rankings

BIG SCHOOLS(Div. I-III)
1. Beaver Local (9-0), at Edison. The Beavers showed that they can make short work of Division I opponents too, just like they did against Eastlake North, 38-6.
2. Hubbard (8-0), at Brookfield. Running backs Ben Lane and Tony Giancola looked unstoppable against Girard. The Eagles can clinch the Trumbull Athletic Conference title outright this week.3. Fitch (8-1), vs. Boardman. The Falcons' path to a perfect season was derailed by Canton GlenOak.
4. Cardinal Mooney (6-2), vs. Columbus Watterson. The Cardinals face a strong Watterson team that handled Ursuline earlier this season.5. Warren Harding (7-2), at Akron Hoban. The Raiders face a daunting challenge in trying to stop Hoban running back Tyrell Sutton.
6. Niles (5-4), vs. Alliance. Believe it or not, the Metro Athletic Conference championship comes down to this game. No one gave the Red Dragons a chance to contend.
7. Canfield (6-3), vs. East Liverpool. A win would most likely put the Cardinals into the postseason. East Liverpool is no pushover at 6-3.
8. Howland (6-3), at Warren JFK. The Tigers got a much-needed win against Struthers, snapping their three-game losing streak.
9. West Branch (5-3-1), at Marlington. The Warriors are in a must-win situation against Marlington, and they'll need help to make the playoffs.
10. Ursuline (5-4), vs. Erie Prep. The Irish will try to avoid finishing the season with four straight losses.
SMALL SCHOOLS(Div. IV-VI)
1. Liberty (8-1), at Girard. The Leopards can share the TAC crown if they beat Girard and Hubbard loses at Brookfield.
2. Mineral Ridge (8-1), vs. Western Reserve. The Rams can secure the Inter-County League championship outright with a win.
3. South Range (8-1), at Springfield. The Raiders' loss to Mineral Ridge two weeks ago has clouded their playoff future, so they need to win against their ICL rival.
4. Crestview (8-1), vs. Southern. The Rebels are one win away from clinching the Tri-County League championship outright.
5. LaBrae (6-3), at Newton Falls. The Vikings have given themselves a playoff shot, but they need nothing more than a win.
6. Springfield (7-2), vs. South Range. The Tigers have some ground to make up to clinch a playoff berth. This is a must-win situation.
7. Girard (6-3), vs. Liberty. The Indians need to sure up their defense quickly and rebound from a 56-28 loss at Hubbard.
8. Warren JFK (7-2), vs. Howland. This match-up of Trumbull County rivals is a fun way to end the regular season. The Eagles have a slim chance of making the playoffs.
9. Leetonia (7-2), at United. The Bears are in good position for a playoff berth and have a slight chance to gain a share of the TCL title, but they need Crestview to lose.
10. United (5-4), vs. Leetonia. With a win, the Golden Eagles can finish in second place in the TCL -- and maybe even tie for first if Crestview loses.
XCardinal Mooney and Ursuline are grouped in the big school division because of their prominent schedules.
