Boardman flu shot clinicwill be in different place
BOARDMAN -- The flu shot clinic location in the township for Tuesday has changed. The clinic, originally set for 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the township government center on Market Street, has been moved to Mr. Anthony's Banquet Center on South Avenue. The time remains unchanged.
Civics Club arrest
YOUNGSTOWN -- Steven Sebastian, 38, of Sciota Street was arrested at 1 a.m. Sunday outside the East Side Civics Club on South Avenue on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, illegal possession of a weapon inside a liquor establishment, possession of cocaine and obstructing official business.
Police said they had watched Sebastian enter the bar and leave it, as if escorting patrons out, and each time he held his waistband. Sebastian was then seen arguing, pulling a gun from his waistband and waiving it at a man in the parking lot, police said. Police confiscated a loaded .357-caliber handgun from Sebastian, and at the jail, three packages of suspected cocaine were found on him, reports show.
Theft at Circle K
YOUNGSTOWN -- A thief went shopping for breakfast foods Sunday evening at the Circle K on Mahoning Avenue.
Two clerks told police they watched a man enter the store around 8:25 p.m., take items off the shelves, place them in his jacket and then run out. Taken from the store were packages of Pop Tarts, Quaker Oats, and six packages of coffee totaling $29.60. The store's security camera recorded the theft.
Driver arrested
YOUNGSTOWN -- Felicia Wallace, 31, of Cain Street was identified as the driver of a 2000 Jeep that hit two parked cars on Sherwood Avenue on Sunday evening, police said.
Wallace became combative at the scene with police and had to be restrained by paramedics, reports show. She was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment and arrested there on charges of DUI, reckless operation and possession of marijuana. Police said suspected marijuana was found in her bra.
Charged in theft
YOUNGSTOWN -- Ronnie Richard, 38, of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard was arrested on a theft charge after police found five Youngstown State University baseball hats in his coat Saturday.
The manager of Campus Book and Supply on Lincoln Avenue told police he saw Richard grab a stack of hats and run out.
Richard was caught at 3 p.m. about two blocks from the bookstore. The county jail refused to take Richard until he was treated at St. Elizabeth Health Center for crack cocaine use, police said. After treatment, Richard was booked into the jail pending arraignment today.
