Beaver Township Crime Watch meeting, 7 p.m., at Shepherd of the Valley activity center, 9111 Sharrott Road, Boardman. A representative from the township fire department will provide information and safety tips for fire prevention. October is fire prevention month. Local crime statistics also will be discussed.

Poland Village Council special meeting, 6:30 p.m., Town Hall, 308 S. Main St. To consider bids for 2004 sidewalk project and removal and relocation of Augden House.
