FNB reports earnings
CANFIELD -- The earnings for Farmers National Banc Corp. remained flat at $2.4 million in the third quarter when compared to the same quarter last year. Earnings in both quarters were 19 cents a share. The company is the parent of Farmers National Bank.
Jobless rates in Valleystay similar, figures show
YOUNGSTOWN -- Unemployment rates in the Mahoning Valley in September were about the same as they were a year earlier. Both Trumbull and Columbiana counties posted jobless rates of 6.9 percent last month, which was unchanged from September 2003. Mahoning County's rate last month was 6.6 percent, compared with 6.7 percent a year earlier.
Ohio's unemployment rate in September was 6 percent, compared with 6.1 percent a year earlier.
H & amp;H Contracting Co.relocates headquarters
AUSTINTOWN -- H & amp;H Contracting Co. has moved its headquarters from Niles to the former offices of the Mahoning Valley Home Builders Association at 25 Idlewood Road.
Chris Hoff, H & amp;H president, said the company needed more space because of its growing number of construction projects around the country. The construction company builds stores for clients that include Hollister, Abercrombie & amp; Fitch and Talbots, as well as high-end homes.
UPS Store in Canfield
CANFIELD -- The UPS Store has opened at 415 E. Main St. under the direction of franchisees Edmond and Patricia Pilolli. The retail chain provides shipping services and was created after United Parcel Service acquired Mail Boxes Etc. The chain has more than 5,000 franchised locations around the world.

YOUNGSTOWN -- A documentary film that chronicles the assimilation of Italians into American culture will be presented at 1 p.m. Oct. 31 at DeBartolo Hall at Youngstown State University. "Prisoners Among Us" is being presented for free by YSU's Center for Working-Class Studies and other groups. The film by Michael Angelo DiLauro covers early 19th century immigration through World War II.
