Drug agents seize PCP, make arrests in bust

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Federal drug agents seized a jug of the hallucinogen PCP that a suspected Los Angeles gang member delivered to Cleveland.
"This was a major bust," U.S. Attorney Gregory White said. "That's a lot of PCP."
In an affidavit, Jamaal Ansari, an agent of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, said that on Wednesday, a confidential informant told DEA agent Lee Lucas that a 31-year-old Cleveland man sold PCP from his home.
Agents and the Cleveland police SWAT team went to the man's home Friday and found several small bottles of the drug, as well as a 9 mm gun stashed in a diaper bag.
The suspected dealer told police that he wanted to cooperate but that the police and DEA needed to move their vehicles because he was expecting delivery of PCP within 30 minutes. He said he purchased the gallon from a California man for $20,000.
Police and agents arrested the driver and a woman passenger. The initial suspect is being held pending a court hearing.
