Bluejays Div. IV winner, advance



Hubbard advanced to the district semifinals in Div. II.
LISBON -- Megan Whitmer collected 13 points, 10 assists, 46 sets and two aces as the Jackson-Milton High volleyball team defeated Leetonia 25-19, 25-19, 25-17 in the Division IV tournament Saturday at Lisbon High.
Stephanie Kelecava added eight kills and Scarlett Chepke blocked six balls for the Bluejays (13-10).
Samantha Miller scored six points and assisted 20 times, while Malorie Valentine had five points, 10 digs and three blocks for the Bears (8-12).
Lordstown 25-25-25, Bristol 16-19-13
LISBON -- Top-seeded Lordstown (20-1) was paced by Christa Israel with 17 points, 10 kills and two aces, while Alycia Israel had 20 assists and 73 sets.
Heather Lodwick came up with five points, 13 assists and an ace for Bristol (12-10).
Marysa Burchett had seven kills, two blocks and six digs for the Panthers.
Western Reserve 25-25-17-25, Sebring 15-14-25-23
LISBON -- Leta Lenhart had a 26-point, three-ace match for the third-seeded Blue Devils (17-7).
Katie Harmon supported the attack with 13 points, 24 assists and 11 digs.
For the Trojans (7-14), Kayla Faudree had eight points, an ace, three blocks and 15 assists. Rachel Hawkins registered seven points with an ace.
Windham 25-25-25, Southern Local 8-5-21
LISBON -- Sara Gutherie ignited the Bombers (22-1) with 16 points, including five aces. Erika Cline tacked on 13 points, 22 assists and 30 sets for second-seeded Windham.
The Indians (4-17) got five points apiece from Emily Ramsey and Paula Bergert.
Div. II
BOARDMAN -- Hubbard advanced to the district semifinals with a 25-5, 25-14, 25-15 victory over Struthers.
Second-seeded Hubbard (19-5) will play fourth-seeded Poland on Tuesday.
Kim Budd served 14 points with one ace for the Eagles, while Callie Oyler had 10 kills. Corrie Gasser added 25 assists and Kylene Hoch 12 digs.
For Struthers (6-15), Angela Monico had eight digs, while Brianne Ciccone served six points with two aces. Nicole Robenolt added four kills and Jeannette McLaughlin had two blocks.
Crestwood 25-25-25, Southeast 20-16-15
BOARDMAN -- Top-seeded Crestwood (22-1) moved into the district semifinals, where it will face Salem on Tuesday.
Erica Zigman had 15 points, 16 digs, five kills and four blocks for Crestwood. Jessica Hines served five points with two aces for Southeast (10-14).
