BIG TEN Injured Hawkeyes make their way to Happy Valley

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) -- No. 25 Iowa is having a hard time keeping its tailbacks healthy.
Marcus Schnoor went down with a knee injury in the season opener against Kent State.
Albert Young injured his knee against Iowa State.
And Jermelle Lewis injured a knee against Michigan State.
"We don't really talk about it much. We don't want to say anything or jinx anybody," quarterback Drew Tate said. "That stuff happens, ... but we don't talk about it much.
"It's unfortunate, and it's kind of crazy with all the injuries we've had," Tate said. "And it's not just the running backs. Everybody seems to be getting dinged up."
Those injuries are a hot topic in Happy Valley, where Iowa (4-2, 2-1 Big Ten) plays today. Penn State (2-4, 0-3) has been run over in recent years by a series of Hawkeyes backs.
"They're running a little low on tailbacks," linebacker Paul Posluszny said. "It's not going to be the typical Iowa team where it's run, run, run. I think they're going to try to change things up a little bit, and I definitely think it's an advantage to us that they don't have their top guys right now."
But not too much of an advantage. Sam Brownlee rushed for just 35 yards last week against Ohio State, and freshman Damian Simms rushed for 31, but the Hawkeyes still routed the Buckeyes 33-7.
