Poland sweeps past Niles in Division II

Dee Muransky paced the Bulldogs past the Red Dragons.
BOARDMAN -- Dee Muransky collected seven points, three aces, 16 kills and 12 digs as Poland High defeated Niles 25-15, 25-15, 25-16 in the Division II volleyball tournament at Boardman High School Thursday.
Dayna Blangero served 11 points and added 12 digs for the fourth-seeded Bulldogs (16-8).
For Niles (3-16), Amanda Furey scored five points and Christy Mickel had three points with an ace.

LEAVITTSBURG -- Morgan Bonekovic had 12 kills and five blocks as Brookfield defeated CVCA 25-11, 25-11, 25-18 at LaBrae Middle School.
Rachel Pasquerilla added 27 assists and 20 points.
