STEELERS Roethlisberger, Farrior earn accolades; Hampton, Logan done

Cornerback Chad Scott might return in six weeks.
PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and linebacker James Farrior were named the AFC's offensive and defensive players of the week following Sunday's 24-20 win in Dallas.
That's the first time players from one team have won the awards in the same week since quarterback Joe Montana and linebacker Derrick Thomas did it for the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2 of the 1994 season.
Farrior had two sacks, forced three fumbles and had nine tackles to earn the honor for the first time in his eight-year career.
Roethlisberger completed 21-of-25 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns. He has won three-straight NFL rookie of the week awards and was nominated again for his performance against the Cowboys.
Roethlisberger, the 11th player and third quarterback selected in the 2004 draft, has completed 78-of-113 for 937 yards, seven touchdowns and four interceptions and the fourth highest passer rating in the league.
Injury update
The Steelers announced that nose tackle Casey Hampton and backup safety Mike Logan are both out for the season with injuries.
Hampton, a Pro Bowler, tore a ligament in his right knee in Dallas. Logan had been nursing a hamstring he injured against the Cleveland Browns on Oct. 10. Both were put on the injured list Wednesday.
Cornerback Chad Scott, also hurt in Sunday's game, is expected to miss four to six weeks with an injured quadriceps tendon.
Chris Hoke will replace Hampton in the starting lineup and the team re-signed defensive lineman Kendrick Clancy to take his place on the roster.
Clancy was the Steelers' starting nose tackle until Hampton, then a rookie, bumped him four games into the 2001 season. Now Hoke's backup, Clancy missed most of training camp because of a calf injury and was among the team's final cuts this season.
Coach Bill Cowher said veteran Willie Williams, who re-signed with the Steelers in the off-season, will replace Logan.
The Steelers signed safety Tyrone Carter, who has played with the Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets, to fill Logan's roster spot.
