Suspect to be extradited
GIRARD -- City police will seek the extradition of a 26-year-old man charged in the Sept. 15 robbery of Payday Cash Advance on U.S. Route 422. Capt. Frank Bigowsky said paperwork will be filed to return Jonathan Spikes, of Youngstown, to Girard. Spikes, he said, travels between Buffalo, N.Y., and the Mahoning Valley. The captain explained that fingerprints at the scene matched those of Spikes and another man identified as Tyrell Meade of Buffalo. When contacted, Buffalo police said Meade had been jailed there since Oct. 3 on a murder charge. Buffalo police told Bigowsky that Spikes was with Meade when he was arrested. Buffalo police returned Tuesday to the apartment the two men shared and arrested Spikes.
