NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- A Warren native will participate in the annual Halloween Organ Concert at Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pa. All performers will wear costumes for the free concert at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29 in Orr Auditorium. Among them will be Jaimee Davis, a junior English and music major and a graduate of Howland High School. The group's selections will include Johann Sebastian Bach's famous D-minor Toccata and Fugue.
Pumpkin contest extended
BOARDMAN -- Boardman Park has extended its Great Pumpkin Carve-Out Contest into this weekend, from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Haunted hayrides also begin Friday night.
Performance canceled
CLEVELAND -- A performance of "The Righteous Brothers ... A Celebration by Bill Medley" that was to be Nov. 7 in State Theater has been canceled. People who ordered tickets online, on the telephone or at the Playhouse Square box office will automatically receive refunds. People who purchased tickets at Tickets.com outlets, such as Tops supermarkets, should return there to receive refunds.
Arts Council officers
YOUNGSTOWN -- Four new officers are serving two-year terms with Arts Council of Youngstown and Mahoning County. Jacqueline Bibo is vice president of development; Patricia Fleck Kavic is vice president of programming and corresponding secretary; Nancy Bodziach is recording secretary; and Rodney Lamberson is treasurer. David Vosburgh remains president.
