AUSTINTOWN -- Junior forward Jodi Bowlen scored two goals Tuesday to give her 27 on the season as the Austintown Fitch High girls soccer team defeated Warren Harding 7-0 in the Division I sectional tournament.
Tracy Pawlik, Dana Lucido, Courtney Civarella, Brittney Getz and Dina Harris added a goal apiece for the fourth-seeded Falcons (11-3-3).
Fitch led 5-0 at the break over the Raiders (4-13).
North Canton Hoover will play at Fitch Saturday at 7 p.m.
Canfield 3, Louisville 0
CANFIELD -- A pair of goals by senior Tia Norris and another one by senior Megan Garland produced the final score in the Div. I sectional match.
Juniors Nikki Sorice and Vicki Magyar and freshman Deven Shryock had an assist apiece for the Cardinals, who out-shot Louisville, 26-4.
Louisville (10-3-4) goalkeeper Kayle Simmon made 15 saves while Canfield goalkeeper Ashley Conti made four stops.
Canfield (8-6-1) plays at top-seeded Green on Saturday at 7 p.m. The game is a rematch of last year's sectional championship that the Cardinals won when their unseeded squad upset No. 1 Green.
Thursday at 7 p.m., the Cards play Howland at home in a makeup game. In the first meeting earlier this season, Howland beat Canfield, 1-0.
Boardman 6, Uniontown Lake 1
BOARDMAN -- After the Blue Streaks took a 1-0 lead, the Spartans closed on a 6-0 run.
Lauren Sirak scored twice and Caitlyn Hackett, Mallory Hay, Katie Stoll and Jessica Winters each added goals.
Danielle Deley had an assist for the Spartans, who outshot Lake, 33-10.
The Spartans play at Niles on Saturday at 7 p.m.
Boys
LIBERTY -- About seven minutes into overtime, sophomore Brian Sehon scored an unassisted goal to give Liberty a 1-0 win over Niles in the Div. II tournament.
Liberty will play at Poland Saturday at 4 p.m.
Howland 3, Canfield 1
HOWLAND -- Malik Mohammad scored twice as the fourth-seeded Tigers defeated Canfield in a Div. II tournament game. Chris Zador added the other goal for the winners.
Two of Howland's goals were assisted by Josh Keul. Mohammad's second goal came on a penalty kick after Mike Maiorano was fouled in the box.
Tigers goalkeeper Zack Roscoe made seven saves.
For Canfield, Mario Nigre scored an unassisted goal. Goalkeeper Mike Musilli had eight saves.
Mathews 1, Bloomfield 0
VIENNA -- Josh Marquette scored the game's only goal on an assist by Chris Meeker with 18 minutes to play.
Goalkeeper Brett Ford made 19 saves for the Mustangs (3-14-1), who advanced to play at top-seeded Champion in the Div. III tournament Thursday.
