Man charged with killing foster daughter

NORWALK, Ohio (AP) -- A man was arrested Tuesday and charged with stabbing his 11-year-old foster daughter to death after an argument at his home, authorities said.
Paul A. Efaw, 58, of Monroeville, was charged with involuntary manslaughter and held Tuesday night at the Huron County Jail pending a bond hearing today, Sheriff Dick Sutherland said.
On Monday, officers found the body of Efaw's foster daughter, Connre Dixon, in a shed on his property about 60 miles west of Cleveland. A boy who's also a foster child of Efaw's had called authorities to say Connre had a knife, Sutherland said.
Efaw was transported to an area hospital where he underwent surgery to treat a large knife wound to his left arm, Sutherland said. He was released Tuesday morning, and arrested after an interview with authorities.
Results of an autopsy by the Lucas County coroner weren't available Tuesday night, Sutherland said.
