Zatchok leads Western Reserve to 35-15 victory over Bridgeport



SHADYSIDE -- The Western Reserve High football team took a 15-0 first-quarter lead en route to a 35-15 victory over Bridgeport on Saturday.
Jeff Zatchok, a junior outside linebacker, had two interceptions and a fumble recovery, and he also caught a touchdown pass, as the Blue Devils improved to 3-5.
Shawn Bryant carried 11 times for 63 yards and a touchdown for Western Reserve, while Vince Barbone added five carries for 51 yards and two touchdowns.
Quarterbacks Dave Ferrando and Brandon Moherman combined to complete 5-of-15 passes for 72 yards and two touchdowns.
Adam Young was the Blue Devils' leading receiver, catching three passes for 45 yards. Billy Speece also caught a 13-yard touchdown pass. Western Reserve scored 13 points in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.

OREGON -- Cardinal Stritch returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, and the Eagles (0-6) couldn't recover.
Youngstown Christian gained 65 total yards, 55 of which came on the ground. Sal Mineo led the way with 40 yards rushing.
