Beirut Memorial service
The public is invited when Tri-State Marine Corps League Detachment and Rolling Thunder conduct a service at the Beirut Memorial, state Route 616, Struthers, at 2 p.m. Saturday. The service commemorates the 1983 terrorist truck bombing of an American barracks in Beirut, Lebanon, that killed 241 Marine, Navy and Army service members.
Brick sale for memorial
Korean War Veterans Chapter 137 has nearly completed the Korean War Memorial in Wickliffe Circle Park on Mahoning Avenue in Austintown, and is inviting the public to purchase a brick in memory of a loved one who served the country. Brick sale proceeds will go toward the cost of building and maintaining the memorial. The costs are $125 for 4-by 8-inch bricks and $200 for 8-by 8-inch bricks, which will be placed on the Path of Honor in front of the memorial. Those interested should mail their name, address and phone number to John T. Pariza, Chapter 137 1st vice commander, 95 N. Task Force Falcon
Army Capt. B. A. Reali is assigned to Task Force Falcon at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, as a member of the Army contingent serving as part of the Multinational Brigade-East which supports the Kosovo Peacekeeping Force mission.
Reali, a legal adviser with the Indiana Army National Guard based at Camp Atterbury, Edinburgh, Ind., is the son of Margaret Reali of Youngstown. He graduated in 1989 from Ursuline High School, and received a bachelor's degree in 1994 from Mount Union College, Alliance. He earned his law degree in 1998 from the University of Akron.
Helicopter Squadron
Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Randy L. Jackson, son of Doreen Morgan of Girard, is in Iraq as part of Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 268, the home base of which is Camp Pendleton, Calif. Jackson's unit took over the casualty evacuation mission for the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force.
Forward operating location
Air Force Master Sgt. David A. Reagan is deployed to a forward operating location in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Reagan, a public affairs superintendent, is normally assigned to the 347th Rescue Wing, Moody Air Force Base, Ga.
He is the son of Constance Branch of Lake Milton. He graduated in 1983 from Southeast High School, Ravenna, and received an associate's degree in 2000 from the Community College of the Air Force.

Distinguished graduate
Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Cadet George L. Hern completed a field training encampment at Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., where he was recognized as a distinguished graduate. Hern, the son of George and Barbara Hern of Lisbon, attends the University of Wyoming at Laramie. He is a 1993 graduate of David Anderson High School.
910TH AIRLIFT WING
Senior airman to serve
Air Force Reserve Senior Airman Shawn J. Sturgeon has arrived for duty at the 910th Airlift Wing, Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Vienna. Sturgeon, an aerospace maintenance journeyman, is the son of Joseph and Helen Sturgeon of Cortland, and a 2001 graduate of Lakeview High School.
