Westminster 27, Bethany 21
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Scott Froelich rushed for three touchdowns including the game-winner for the Titans (3-3, 1-1 PAC). Froelich scored on runs of 25 and 11 yards for a 14-7 lead but Bethany (0-6, 0-4) tied the game at 21 when Nazih Banna threw a pair of third-quarter touchdown passes to Milton Joyner covering 25 and 23 yards. Froelich scored a 9-yard touchdown with 9:32 to play for the winning margin. Banna, a graduate of Boardman High School, was 24-for-41 for 303 yards. Froelich ran 34 times for 249 yards.
Geneva 23, Quincy 20
QUINCY, Ill. -- Zach Blair kicked an 18-yard field goal with four seconds remaining to win the game for Geneva (3-3, 2-1). Quincy (3-4, 1-2) took a 20-0 lead early in the third quarter. Josh Mullen ran 34 times for 141 yards and a touchdown and Brandon Nathan rushed for 105 yards on 16 carries with a score to pace Geneva.
Thiel 26, Waynesburg 20
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Freshman tailback Steve Minton rushed for 89 yards on 25 carries and a touchdown for Thiel (5-2, 3-1 Presidents' Athletic Conference). Minton has rushed for 598 yards and four touchdowns this season. The Tomcat defensive unit recorded four turnovers with senior free safety Kennard Davis (Farrell High) grabbing his 23rd career interception that he ran back 41 yards for a touchdown. Waynesburg is 4-2, 1-1.
Allegheny 42, Kenyon 9
MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Mario Tarquinio rushed for a career-high 216 yards and three touchdowns on 29 carries. The win marked the 17th consecutive time that Allegheny (2-4, 1-2 NCAC) has defeated Kenyon (1-5, 1-2). Tarquinio scored Allegheny's first touchdown on a 19-yard run in the first quarter, then scored on a 28-yard run in the second quarter, and on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter. Allegheny's Jimmy Savage threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Matt Pertile in the second quarter and ran 12 yards for another score in the fourth quarter. The Gators also scored on a 32-yard interception return by Keith Keenan.
Millersville 17, Slippery Rock 14
MILLERSVILLE, Pa. -- Sean Hughes kicked a 20-yard field goal with 37 seconds remaining to decide the game for Millersville (3-4). The Rock (3-5) took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter when Josh Kniess scored from the 6. Kniess, who ran 17 times for 68 yards, returned a punt 56 yards to make it 14-7 at the half. Dan Csencsitz was 22-for-35 for 223 yards passing for the Marauders (3-4).
Walsh 57, Taylor 19
NORTH CANTON -- Chase Hostetler ran for 149 yards and three touchdowns and Dan Kane passed for one score and ran for another to lead Walsh. Hostetler carried 33 times and scored on runs of 4, 1 and 1 yards for Walsh (6-1, 4-0 Mid-States Football Association Mideast League). Kane completed 12 of 16 passes for 151 yards without an interception or a sack. He hit DanJuan Witcher on a 20-yard scoring pass and also ran for a 1-yard score. Anthony Lee rushed for 99 yards and a 1-yard touchdown for Taylor (0-6, 0-3). Robby Smith's 20-yard field goal cut Walsh's lead to 7-3 midway through the first quarter before the Cavaliers reeled off the next 36 points. Antwain Reine' added two touchdown runs for Walsh, which rushed for 273 yards and passed for 212.
Malone 39, Ohio Dominican 32
COLUMBUS -- Brad Reifsnyder threw his fourth touchdown pass of the game to Alphonso Owen with 1:14 left to give Malone the win. Ohio Dominican (0-6, 0-4 Mid-States Football Association Mideast League) led 25-24 early in the fourth quarter after Calvin Weaver's second touchdown of the game, an 11-yard run. Owen, who had eight catches for 163 yards and four scores, then pulled in an 8-yard touchdown pass from Reifsnyder with 10:43 left. Reifsnyder hit Eric Smith on the two-point conversion pass for a 32-25 lead. After Eddie Davis ran for a 10-yard score with 8:44 left to tie the game, Reifsnyder drove the Pioneers (3-3, 1-2) 80 yards in 10 plays, taking almost 3 1/2 minutes off the clock before hitting Owen for the game-winner. Reifsnyder completed 21 of 31 passes for 352 yards and finished with five TD passes.
Wittenberg 74, Hiram 0
HIRAM -- Tristan Murray, Tyler Harmon and Chris Clark each scored twice and Wittenberg rode a 54-0 halftime lead to the victory. Will Block rushed for 143 yards on 20 carries for the Tigers (5-1, 3-0 North Coast Conference). Murray gained 73 yards on 10 carries and scored on runs of 8 and 3 yards and Harmon gained 17 yards on four attempts with touchdowns of 14 and 1 yards. Hiram (0-6, 0-3) managed just five first downs, 44 yards on 20 rushes and 92 yards passing. Wade Laughrey scored on a 23-yard interception return for the Tigers, who rushed for 442 yards and had a total offense of 564 yards.
Wash. & amp; Jeff. 56, Grove City 14
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Chris Edwards threw a career-high five touchdown passes, including four to Aaron Krepps to pace Washington & amp; Jefferson. W & amp;J (7-0, 3-0 PAC) entered the game ranked No. 11 in NCAA Division III poll. The Presidents gained 484 yards in total offense and held Grove City (3-4, 1-2) to 154 yards. Edwards completed 21 of 28 yards for 277 yards and connected with Krepps on touchdown passes of 37, 20, 32, and 22 yards. He also threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Jacob Shields. Krepps caught nine passes for 144 yards and set a career high with his four touchdown receptions. Ryan Mendel added touchdown runs of 20 and 1 yards for the Presidents. Grove City scored on a 27-yard pass from Bradford Clark to Dave DiDonato and a 93-yard kickoff return by Ross Trimmer (Hickory High).
Baldwin-Wallace 28, Heidelberg 0
TIFFIN -- Brandon Hedges rushed for just 46 yards but scored three touchdowns to lead Baldwin-Wallace. Hedges carried 20 times, scoring on runs of 3, 6 and 10 yards for the Yellow Jackets (6-0, 5-0 OAC). Heidelberg (0-6, 0-5) totaled 180 yards of offense and had two turnovers.
