Keep rubber ducky free from germs

KNIGHT RIDDER NEWSPAPERS
Kids love bath toys, but so do germs. Bacteria -- including those that can cause strep, skin infections and stomach flu -- are common in water toys because moisture lets germs multiply.
But before you toss that rubber ducky, try these tips from Parenting magazine to keep bathtime clean:
UChoose toys that are easy to wash and dry (such as a bucket or cup), or that can be machine-washed (such as puppet hand towels and terry cloth books).
USkip toys with seams or holes, where water can collect, or squirtable ones with no other opening to drain the water.
UAir-dry toys on a clean surface. The bathtub rim works well, or hang them in a mesh bag.
UDisinfect occasionally with a bleach or white-vinegar solution.
