ASSOCIATIONS
XMahoning Retired Teachers Association will meet Nov. 10 at Antone's in Boardman. A social hour will begin at 11 a.m. with lunch served at noon. Guest speaker will be Dr. Damon Asbury, executive director of the State Teachers Retirement System. Reservations must be made by Oct. 24 by calling (330) 270-9837 or (330) 792-7579.
CLASSES
XSouth High School Alumni Association will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Denny's on Boardman-Canfield Road.
CLUBS
XYoungstown Area Newcomers Club will meet for a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 27 at Piccadilly Parlour, 114 S. Broad St., Canfield. After the meeting the group will attend a program on scrapbooks at Michael's in Boardman. Reservations are due by Friday by calling (330) 533-4104.
COMMITTEES
XThe Building Committee of the Rodman Public Library will meet at 3 p.m. Monday in the conference room of the library.
GUILDS
XTQGIBT Quilting Guild will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fair Park in Canfield. Cotton Candy Quilt Shop will present a program on watercolor quilts. Guests are welcome.
SERVICE CLUBS
XDowntown Youngstown Kiwanis will hold its annual president's dinner Oct. 22 at the Youngstown Club. A social will begin at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30. SOCIETIES
XHammond Organ Society of Mahoning Valley will meet at 7 p.m. Friday at Faith Community Church, 1919 E. Midlothian Blvd. Serving on the hospitality committee will be Florence Parsons and Marge Jennings. XTrumbull County Herb Society will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at Champion Christian Church. Members are asked to take finger foods for a tea party. Guests are welcome. Dues for 2005 are now payable.
