"Jojo's Circus" (7:30 p.m., Disney), which usually airs weekdays at 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., begins its second season with a prime-time episode. In "Sleepover Surprises," Balboa attends JoJo's first slumber party.
Linda Ellerbee speaks with citizens too young to cast their votes about the presidential hopefuls and the issues most important to children in "Nick News Special: The Candidates, The Issues and You" (8:30 p.m., Nickelodeon).
Kyra Sedgwick stars in "Cavedweller" (8 p.m., Showtime), a film for which she also was an executive producer. She's trying to reconnect with her estranged teenage daughters while dealing with her ailing and unsavory ex-husband (Aidan Quinn). Watch for singer Jill Scott in her first role in a feature film. Sedgwick's husband, Kevin Bacon, appears briefly; his character dies to set the plot in motion.
A bit of history that never made it into our book: British kings Edward VIII and George VI had a younger brother, Prince John, who was kept hidden away on a royal estate because he had epilepsy and a learning disability. "The Lost Prince" (9 p.m., PBS), a "Masterpiece Theatre" production, looks at the royal family from John's point of view, and stars Gina McKee, Michael Gambon and Miranda Richardson. Concludes at the same time next week.
It's one of those old-fashion love stories on the two-part cosmic miniseries "Farscape: Peacekeeper Wars" (9 p.m., Sci-Fi Channel, concludes Monday). Earth boy meets alien girl. Earth boy loses alien girl. Alien girl turns up pregnant. Earth boy reunites with alien girl. Earth boy and alien girl are vaporized. Ah, they don't write 'em like that anymore -- at least not in the Crab Nebula. During the series run of "Farscape," newly engaged and expectant parents John Crichton (Ben Browder) and Aeryn Sun (Claudia Black) were chased around the galaxy, avoided being killed numerous times and now have fallen in love. All they want is their baby to be raised in a peaceful galaxy. Sounds good if they can survive the galactic war between the Scarrans and the Peacekeepers.
