Take this October sports test

Mysteries abound during the best sports month of the year.
Will the Ohio State Buckeyes end their 0-for-October (or is that woe-for-October) with a win Saturday against Iowa in Iowa City? Or will Jim Tressel fall to 0-3 in the Big Ten for the first time as Ohio State's coach? (Answers: yes, no).
Should Buckeyes quarterback Justin Zwick get the hook if Ohio State struggles in the first half? (Most definitely.)
Now that Ravens tailback Jamal Lewis will be spending time of the wrong side of prison bars, has Baltimore become the NFL's Oakland East? Would Lewis' suspension by the league have been immediate if he wasn't a superstar? (Some questions deserve no response.)
Why can't the Braveswin in the postseason?
Atlanta Braves manager Bobby Cox and pitching coach Leo Mazzone are wizards in the regular season -- they have won 13-straight National League East Division titles. Why, despite constantly having home-field advantage, do the Braves choke so often in the postseason? (Maybe they'd have more of a advantage if Atlanta fans came out to the ballpark.)
Can the Steelers win a road game not being played in the remnants of a hurricane? (Your guess is as good as mine.)
The Steelers' road victory came at Miami against the hapless Dolphins. Their road loss came at Baltimore where the Ravens knocked out starting quarterback Tommy Maddox with a throwing elbow ligament injury.
Steelers rookie quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is 3-0 as a starter. If the team is still in first place in the AFC North Division when Maddox is cleared to play, who should Cowher start?
Cowher was asked that at Tuesday's press conference. His response: "I'm just going to laugh at that question right now."
What has happened to the Howland and Warren Harding high football teams who began the season with a collective 10-0 start (thanks to a forfeit) but are 0-4 the past two weeks? (We're not sure, but we picked both to win tonight.)
Butch's job secureeven if Browns lose
Cleveland Browns coach Butch Davis' job is signed for three more seasons. If the Browns (2-3) lose Sunday to the Cincinnati Bengals (1-3) at Cleveland Browns Stadium with the Philadelphia Eagles (4-0) visiting next, is Davis' immediate future in Cleveland in jeopardy with a 2-5 start? (Of course not.)
Will the "underdog" New York Yankees sweep the Red Sox and ruin FOX's ratings? (It wouldn't surprise anyone who saw games one and two.)
In next April's NFL draft, which running back with Youngstown connections will be drafted first -- Syracuse's Walter Reyes or Ohio State exile Maurice Clarett? (We're thinking orange here.)
With the Washington Redskins off to a 1-4 start, has Hall of Fame coach Joe Gibbs lost his magic touch? (Maybe, but to be fair, when Gibbs coached the Redskins to three Super Bowl Championships, free agency was a dream and the salary cap did not exist.)
If the St. Louis Cardinals advance to their first World Series in 17 seasons, it would create a rematch. In 1964, the Cardinals defeated the Yankees in seven games. In 1967, the Cardinals defeated the Red Sox in seven games.
No impartialobservations here
FOX analyst Tim McCarver was the St. Louis catcher 40 and 37 years ago. Think he'll be able to contain his glee if St. Louis hosts games three, four and five of the World Series? (We don't either.)
With a roster that coast Redskins owner Daniel Snyder approximately $70 million in signing bonuses, much of which will count against future salary caps, have the Redskins learned anything from the San Francisco 49ers? (Obviously not.)
Does anyone miss the locked-out National Hockey League? (Yes, Zamboni drivers of North America.)
If the Buckeyes lose at Purdue on Nov. 13 and to Michigan at home on Nov. 20 to finish 7-4, do they deserve to play in a Jan. 1 bowl game? (Even Brutus Buckeye would have a hard time answering yes.)
