Where to get them
List of places having flu shots:
Youngstown: The Youngstown Board of Health offers flu shots for people 9 years and older from 9 to 11 a.m. Oct. 25 at Italian American Veterans Post 3, 115 S. Meridian Road; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 28 at the health department at 345 Oak Hill Ave., the cost is $10 for flu shots and $25 for pneumonia shots. There is no cost to Medicare Part B recipients if they don't have supplemental insurance or are a member of an HMO. Medicare recipients must bring their cards.
Youngstown: The Youngstown Community Health Center, 726 Wick Ave., offers flu shots from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday. The shots are limited to people in high-risk categories such as those older than 65, children 6 to 23 months of age and people with chronic health conditions, including heart disease, diabetes and asthma. The cost is $15 or Medicare or Medicaid. For more information, call (330) 747-9551.
Greenford: The flu shot clinic scheduled by the Mahoning County Board of Health for Nov. 5 at the Green Township administration building has been canceled.
