VOLLEYBALL With Oyler's help, Hubbard tops Girard to finish undefeated

Brookfield, Champion and Lakeview also earned TAC wins.
GIRARD -- Callie Oyler scored 19 points with three aces and made 19 kills as the Hubbard High volleyball team finished the Trumbull Athletic Conference season unbeaten with a win over Girard, 25-23, 25-21, 21-25, 15-7.
Kylene Hoch had 46 digs for the Eagles (18-3, 14-0 TAC).
Erin Stevens led the Indians with 11 points, two aces, 20 digs and 48 assists. Brittany Jay had 13 kills and 22 digs.

BROOKFIELD -- Morgan Bonekovic paced Brookfield (11-8) 19 digs and 16 assists. Taralee Williams made 23 blocks.
Liberty (8-12, 4-8 TAC) was led by Chenelle Mills with 12 assists and 12 digs. Ami Markowitz made 11 assists.

NEWTON FALLS -- Andy Armintrout of the Golden Flashes (7-11, 4-10 TAC) scored 11 points with five aces. Lindsay Templeton made 11 blocks.
Molly Lenarcic led the Tigers (1-16, 0-14) with 16 kills and seven blocks. Lindsey McCartney had 12 points, two aces and 20 digs.

CORTLAND -- Michelle Antonelli led the Bulldogs (15-7, 9-5 TAC) with 44 assists and seven digs. Molly Taylor had 14 points, five aces and seven digs.
Maddie D'Orio led the Vikings (12-10, 6-8) with 14 kills, seven blocks and 12 points.

HOWLAND -- Jaime Kelly scored nine points with four aces and made 16 kills and two blocks to spark the Tigers (14-6).
Brittany Kelly had five points, four aces, two kills, 22 assists, two blocks, two digs and a save.
Tiera Jones led the Cowgirls (14-8) with three kills and eight blocks. Monica Peace scored 10 points and two aces.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Michelle Pelini had 39 hits, 20 digs, 10 kills and 24 points for the Cardinals (15-4).
Sarah Pelini scored 19 points and made 22 hits, 15 digs and six kills. Dayna Daltorio scored 13 points with four aces and made 12 digs and four kills. Katy Cerni scored 12 points with four aces and made nine hits, eight digs and three kills.
