It's time to stay course with President Bush, and to pray
EDITOR:
Every election year gets worse. How can our country possibly come together again after all that has been said -- the mud slinging, the animosity, the hard feelings expressed?
The phrase "I wish I hadn't" is used so often in life. But does it do any good? When something's done, it's done. No amount of regret can change it. Right or wrong -- there's a war going on in Iraq. Our president made a difficult decision. He did the hard thing, but he did the thing that he really felt had to be done.
The U.N. had been giving Saddam warning after warning, but no one had the courage to carry out the threats against him. They were just stalling instead of acting. Saddam had used weapons of mass destruction against his own people. The whole world thought he had them. Maybe he did, who really knows for sure? They may have been disposed of or hidden. Also, it was a well known fact that terrorists were being trained there.
What good can Kerry possibly think can come of saying the war is wrong? It's done! The terrorists are laughing at us. Our country is so divided, and Kerry has caused much of the division by bringing out all the faults of the administration. This is so harmful to our country's reputation. How sad it is that we are hanging out our dirty laundry for the whole world to see. No matter who gets elected, how can all the things that have been said be forgotten?
Kerry has made some great promises. Only a superman could keep all the promises he has made for jobs and the economy, health care, etc. Clinton made the same promises about health care and he wasn't able to carry them through. Kerry has shown by his actions that he would not be as tough on the terrorists as President Bush has been, in spite of all the criticism he has taken because of it. Terrorism is the greatest enemy our country has ever faced. Look at what it has done in Columbia, Israel, Pakistan, Indonesia and other countries around the globe. It is rooted in hatred and bigotry. Persecution against Christians is at an all time high!
Things predicted in the Old Testament have been fulfilled to the minutest detail. Things happening now have been predicted in the Bible. We are living in the last days. We see written everywhere and spoken often, "God Bless America." God has blessed our country. Now we need to pray: "God help America. Forgive us for the fountain of moral filth and decay that we are allowing on TV and on the internet. Help us to return to the standards and principles upon which our great country was founded, and which made us great. God save America."

President Bush hasn't been straight with troops or us
EDITOR:
What mixed messages has President Bush and his administration sent to our troops in Iraq? President Bush would appear at military installations promoting his war in Iraq. He talked about an all voluntary service. He used this opportunity to gain support for his war in Iraq. He also knew there would be no dissent from the military. He was commander in chief.
President Bush has put our military in harms way. America has over 1,000 killed in Iraq, with thousands more injured, and we are still counting. These heros were deceived by this president and his administration. As was all America. President Bush should be impeached. There were no weapons of mass destruction.
