SOCCER Badger boys beat Mathews, 4-0

VIENNA -- Anthony Mancini scored three goals Tuesday to lead the Badger High boys soccer team to a 4-0 victory over Mathews in a Northeastern Athletic Conference game.
Josh Shreves added a goal and an assist for the Braves (14-1-1, 9-0) while Brad Panak had two assists.
Goalkeeper Josh Gilliland made four saves for Badger.
Mathews (2-10-1, 1-8) goalkeepers Brett Ford and Sam Gualandi combined for 30 saves.
Ursuline 8, Niles 3
STRUTHERS -- Ryan Novotny scored three goals and had one assist for the Irish (7-5-1), who have won seven of eight games.
Nick Chaney had two goals and an assist while Chris DePaola had a goal and an assist.
Corey Mihaly and Jimmy Hagan also scored for Ursuline while goalkeeper Jared Daly made 11 saves.
Nathan Mang scored three goals for Niles.
Howland 2, Lakeview 1
HOWLAND -- Lakeview's Bob Minnich scored off a corner kick by Chris Bahrey with 10 minutes remaining in the first half.
Howland's Mike Maiorano dribbled through the Lakeview defenses for an unassisted goal with three minutes remaining in the first half.
The only goal of the second half came on a penalty kick by Malik Mohammad after Maiorano was fouled in the penalty box with 4:20 remaining in the game.
Howland (9-5-1) goalkeeper Zack Roscoe made two saves; Lakeview keeper Alexs Koltson made eight.
Crestview 3, United 3
HANOVERTON -- James Frost (Crestview) and Austin Dangler (United) each scored two goals.
Cory Leeson added one goal for Crestview while Brock Volio scored for the Golden Eagles (5-6-2). Shawn Timmons had an assist for United.
Crestview goalkeeper Adam Corll made seven saves and United's Spencer Wiclicka stopped three shots.
United outshot Crestview, 34-14.
Girls
NEWTON FALLS -- Kortni Collins and Mary Jo Spletzer each scored two goals and Casey Piquet had one as Newton Falls defeated Badger 5-3.
Alexis Seifert, Kourtney Kubicina, Spletzer and Piquet added assists for the Tigers (7-6-3) and goalkeeper Grace Spletzer made four saves.
Jenna Miller, Tessa Bonar and Cayla Arnold scored for Badger. Bonar and Arnold had assists. Haley Jenkins made six saves.
