Classes to help farmersupdate pesticide license
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Deerfield Farm Service will offer classes from 1 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 20 for farmers interested in updating their pesticide applicator's license. The programs are approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. The afternoon session will be at Deerfield Farms in New Wilmington, and the evening session will be at The Atrium in Prospect.
Topics will include weed management, strategy for controlling corn rootworm, pesticides and the environment and surfactants. Call Deerfield Farms, (800) 358-9200, to register or for more information.
