HOW WE SEE THEM | Vindicator football rankings

BIG SCHOOLS(Div. I-III)
1. Fitch (7-0), vs. Uniontown Lake. Coach Neal Kopp's state-ranked team faces arguably its biggest challenge of the season this week, and it will go a long way in deciding the Federal League championship.2. Beaver Local (7-0), vs. Oak Glen. The Beavers showed they can win the close games, as in last week's 30-28 decision over state-ranked Chardon.3. Hubbard (6-0), at Champion. You think Hubbard's offense is locked in high gear? The Eagles had 600 total yards in an impressive win over LaBrae.4. Ursuline (5-2), at Columbus Bishop Watterson. The Irish face a monumental road task coming off their 61-28 loss to Akron Hoban, which lost to Watterson the week before.5. Cardinal Mooney (4-2), vs. Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary. After last week's loss to state power Cleveland Benedictine, the Cardinals need a bounce-back performance at home.6. Warren Harding (5-2), vs. Cleveland JFK. Speaking of bounce-back performances, the Raiders' 56-0 loss to Cleveland St. Ignatius last week has them seeking redemption against another Cleveland school.
7. Salem (5-2), vs. Canfield. The Quakers used defense against Poland to win their third straight game.8. Howland (5-2), at Alliance. What's happened to the Tigers? They've dropped back-to-back games to Salem and Niles.9. Canfield (4-3), at Salem. The Cardinals return to the poll after rolling past Struthers and eyeing a key Metro Athletic Conference game against surging Salem.10. Chaney (4-3), vs. Rayen. The Cowboys also return to the poll, with an anticipated meeting with City Series rival Rayen this week.
SMALL SCHOOLS(Div. IV-VI)
1. South Range (7-0), vs. Mineral Ridge. The Raiders needed 14 fourth-quarter points to ensure their Inter-County League victory over Jackson-Milton. Their game against Mineral Ridge is for first place in the ICL.2. Girard (6-1), at LaBrae. The Indians look to take advantage of a LaBrae team reeling from back-to-back Trumbull Athletic Conference beatings.3. Liberty (6-1), vs. Newton Falls. The Leopards won despite not playing their best against TAC rival Lakeview.4. Crestview (6-1), at Leetonia. First place in the Tri-County League is on the line when the Rebels face Leetonia.5. Warren JFK (5-2), at St. Thomas Aquinas. Tony Elzy and Company take their show on the road after a 42-20 win over Erie Central.6. Mineral Ridge (6-1), at South Range. The Rams suffered their first loss, 6-3, against a good Liberty Center team. Now, the ICL lead is on the line against the Raiders.7. Springfield (6-1), at Jackson-Milton. The Tigers are keeping pace in the ICL championship chase. They mustn't lose focus against a respectable Jackson-Milton team.8. Leetonia (6-1), vs. Crestview. The Bears make their first appearance in the poll, with a chance to improve their standing against the Rebels.9. LaBrae (4-3), vs. Girard. The Vikings have struggled in the past two weeks, suffering 38-0 and 53-6 defeats to Liberty and Hubbard, respectively.10. McDonald (4-3), vs. Lowellville. The Blue Devils couldn't keep pace with Springfield's high-powered offense last week.
XCardinal Mooney and Ursuline are grouped in the big school division because of their prominent schedules.
