Make a 'you-turn' for God
Saints and friends, it is high time to get off of our soap boxes and change our attitude.
So what are you saying, preacher? It's time for a "you turn." Dictionary defines attitude as manner, disposition, feeling, position. Some of us (and I'm guilty too) need a real attitude adjustment. None of us are perfect, but we're striving for perfection. We need to come off with a better outlook on life. If we are Christians, we need to be Christ-like. Amen?
Let's examine a case of attitude, in this case, positive attitude. In Exodus, God sent Moses into Egyptland and told him to tell old Pharaoh, let my people go. Now Moses could've copped a major attitude, got a little upset, could've said no! But Moses said yes to God. Let's all say yes!
Attitude adjustment
So much negative attitude is going around these days. I was doing summer school this past year and I was told I'd get X-amount of money to work. When my first check came, I got more instead. Yippee! But when it came time for my next check, personnel caught the mistake and took out more money and dropped me down to the regular rate of $7.48 instead of $9.15. I told you even I was guilty of a bad attitude. Oh I fussed, hollered and raised you know what about it, even marched to the home office and fussed about it. What I should've done was be thankful to God I've got a job. Amen! In this land of plenty, jobs are scarce.
Somebody would have loved to get $7.48 an hour. We need to thank God for the little things we take advantage of and the big things also. We need to take a you-turn. So many people whine and complain about little aches and pains. Think about those who really have a reason to complain about situations, but instead of complaining, they rejoice. Be thankful you have your health and strength.
Thank God for the air we breathe. Thank him for blessing us to see another day. Let's stop whining and moaning about everything that's so wrong and focus on what is right, like God's love. Let's make that you-turn today.
