Leetonia remains perfect in TCL play
LISBON -- Jon Williams rushed 22 times for 152 yards Friday to lead the Leetonia High football team to a 16-7 victory over Lisbon.
Williams also kicked a 22-yard field goal.
After Lisbon's Dana Rose scored on an 8-yard run to cut Leetonia's lead to 9-7 in the fourth quarter, the Bears marched 76 yards on seven plays, capping the drive with Williams' 23-yard touchdown.
The Bears (6-1, 4-0 Tri-County League) gained 286 yards on 53 runs. Jamie Kegelmyer picked up 84 yards on 16 carries.
For the Blue Devils (2-4, 1-3), Rose gained 76 yards on 18 carries. Quarterbacks Corey Smith and Tyler Heath combined to complete seven of 11 passes for 114 yards.

EAST PALESTINE -- Chad Setliff scored four touchdowns, two on passes from Brett Young, and Young also threw for another TD and scored once, to lead East Palestine.
Young connected with Setliff on TD strikes of 50 and 21 yards and hit Joe Thompson on a 31-yard TD toss, while Setliff ran 50 yards and Young 25 yards to TDs. John Hall added a 66-yard scoring dash, while Pat Figley kicked six extra points.
Young threw for 117 yards on 5-for-8 with no interceptions, while Setliff caught three passes for 79 yards.
Setliff rushed for 78 yards in nine carries.
Hall led the Bulldogs' ground attack with 91 yards in six carries, while Young added 75 yards in six runs and Setliff 78 yards in nine attempts.
East Palestine rushed for 323 yards in 39 attempts and 11 first downs.
Nick Puckett scored Southern's only TD on a 40-yard dash.
