HALYNNA PAVELKOCHRISTOPHER FRANGOS
XYOUNGSTOWN -- Halynna Pavelko 3002 Whispering Pines Drive, Austintown, and Christopher Frangos, 4950 Kennedy Road, Lowellville, were married at 2 p.m. Sept. 12 at St. John's Greek Orthodox Church.
The Rev. Thomas Constantine presided as nuptial vows were exchanged by the daughter of Paraska Pavelko of Kheriv, Ukraine, and the late Mykola Pavelko, and the son of Larry and Kathy Frangos of the Lowellville address.
A reception was held afterward at the D.D. and Velma Davis Education and Visitor Center in Mill Creek Park.
The couple have postponed their wedding trip to Greece and the Ukraine and live in Lowellville.
Embroidery, crystals and crocheted flowers adorned the bride's strapless candlelight satin gown. It was designed with a corset top and a chapel train.
Matte-gold gowns were worn by Oksana Pavelko, the bride's twin sister and honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Pam Hunter, Angie Mosconi and Severina Dimova. Flower girls were the groom's nieces, Lea Frangos and Nina Centofanti.
Spiro Frangos served as best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Larry Frangos Jr., also the groom's brother, and James Johnston and Constantine Gulgas, his cousins. Ring bearer was Gino Centofanti, the groom's nephew.
The bride is attending Youngstown State University.
The groom earned a degree in political science from YSU.
