XVIENNA -- A wedding trip to Tahiti, Bora Bora and other South Pacific Islands followed the Sept. 5 wedding of Elizabeth Margaret Kurlander and Joel Lawrence Israel that took place at 5:30 p.m. at Squaw Creek Country Club, where a reception followed in the ballroom.
Rabbis Yitchak Cohen and Dan Roberts officiated at the outdoor ceremony for the daughter of Kathleen Kurlander of Delray Beach, Fla., and the late Norman Kurlander, and the son of Steven and Tina Israel of Dallas.
The bride's strapless gown of ivory organza over satin featured a princess waistline and was embellished with tiny satin bows.
Pewter-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Amy Ferguson, and the bridesmaids, Aimee Israel, Rachael Harlan, Maggie Olsen, Melissa Fittipalpo, Stacey Balsega, Jennifer Mosley, Heather Frick and Becky Flickenger. Flower girls were Kati Kurlander, Tessa Stewart and Kaile Elliott.
Best man was Leon Mandel, and groomsmen were Jeremy Ross, Matthew Kane, Mark Sweet, Brent Heilbron, Neal Morgan, Victor Zhao, Eric Freidman and Nick Tylwalk.
Also participating were Nina Kurlander, Katie and Samantha Stewart, and Staci and Farrell Tobolowsky.
The bride graduated from Duke University School of Law. She is employed by Dickstein, Shapiro, Morin and Oshinsky in Washington.
The groom is also a graduate of Duke law school and is employed by Latham and Watkins in Washington.
The Israels live in Arlington, Va.
