ASSOCIATIONS
XUnited States Amateur Ballroom Dancers Association will hold a masquerade ball Oct. 17 at Melody Lane Ballroom 2864 Newton Falls Road, Newton Falls. Free waltz lessons will be given from 6 to 6:45 p.m., and open dancing will beheld from 6:45 to 9:30. The cost for members is $5, for nonmembers, $8, and students $2.50. Costumes are optional. AUXILIARIES
XAuxiliary of VFW Post 4192, 3886 state Route 46, Mineral Ridge, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at the post.
CLUBS
XCortland Relay for Life will hold a captains meeting at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at Prince of Peace Church in Cortland. Anyone interested in forming a team or learning about the relay may attend. Doughnuts and cider will be refreshments.
SERVICE CLUBS
XDowntown Youngstown Kiwanis will meet at noon Friday at the YMCA. Speaker will be Scott Gilliam, director of government relations for the Cincinnati Insurance Co. A board meeting will be held at 11 a.m. For information call Joe Bartek at (330) 743-4410.
SOCIETIES
XYoungstown Chapter of the American Society of Women Accountants will meet at 6 p.m. Oct. 20 at Rachel's Restaurant, 3657 Mahoning Ave., Austintown, where dinner will be served at 6:30. The guest speaker will be Christine Williams from the Ohio Bureau of Worker's Compensation. The public is welcome. SUPPORT GROUPS
XTrumbull County Kinship Navigator, a county program for grandparents and others raising children who are not their own, will hold a discussion with state Sen. Marc Dann, D-32nd, at 1 p.m. Oct. 20 at Warren YWCA. The group will discuss issues surrounding kinship care and the rights of caregivers.
